I’m ready for spring…

Oh boy am i ready for spring…

I’m tired of all the grey and chilly weather that happens in these months. It’s been nothing but grey for 3 weeks and it really does get you blue feeling, and with all that is going on with the economy it’s getting frustrating…

I know it will get better…

it’s just a matter of when

I was looking online for a little getaway you know a little cottage with fireplace that alex and I could be alone well of course rudy is coming hehehe but yeah. I am hoping to find a good deal.

it would be nice to get away for valentines day but shoot with how it is so slow here i don’t know when we will be able to get away. I know patience but shoot i think we’ve all had enough patience for the time being …

it feels good to come and ramble i think i will try my best to get in the habit again. can’t let all those skills go to waste now can i lmao

oh yeah i found a rock that everyone thought a comet thingamabog but it wasn’t it is a lava rock though and is a few hundred thousand years old that in itself is cool to me i love my rock too i will always keep it he called me an official rock hound hehehe and was cool to talk to someone that knows rocks and gems and things so well. he recommended i go to the rock and gem show come march. and i think i will too

you see the above hair style. i think i will have this done, i think it is soft and romantic I had it similar this summer and my perm is finally growing out so it is time to renew hehehe

things have been really hard here no work and it is scary, i’m trying to hold on and keep the faith that the economy will change soon. Alex is getting so frustrated with having no work. He wants to spoil me rotten and isn’t able too. thing is i don’t care bout that I love him very much and just being with him is wonderful to me. I know once it picks up we will be able to do things we would like to do.

I had a little janitor job for two weeks. geesh man yeah stuff happened well put it this way bossman not very good talker lmao here meaning he spoke to alex and told him to tell me to just stay home on sundays and tom will do the job on saturday while he isn’t doing anything…

i liked working and doing something and helping out a tiny bit made me feel good. they were paying me 15 dollars an hour and would take about 3 hours to clean the show room. I think the bossman didn’t like the wage as when i asked bosslady what she charged she said 15 an hour so i said o.k sounds fair enough…

yeah the look on his face was “i don’t think so….” kind of look

So in the end i think it better this way, I will do up my resume and see what tiny little job i can get around town trust me when i say this there really isn’t anything…

my little guy rudy hehehe he was napping in the van as we were headed to tofino b.c. he was snoring too so i had to take this pic of him. yes that is his chewy stick he has tucked under his little arm

anyhow we shall see what the future has in store I am hoping that good things are coming our way :0)

happiness….

Boy I can’t believe my little guy is almost a year old on january 28th he will be one and as for me on the 20th i will be 43 years old that is good for me and makes me happy i’m still alive and kicking…

this past year has been good for me it taught me a great deal about life and what i learnt is what true love is boy was i wrong in the past and now i really do know now what a feeling that is…

Right now as I speak Alex and I are struggling as it is so slow here in little Port Alberni no work to be had right now, but now it is starting to slowly pick up. I got a part time job as janitor in the store he contracts out of, I just pop in on sundays and go in and dust and mop the store it’s not too bad so should take me a couple of hours to do.

I just want to beable to help Alex as much as I can, he says I do by keeping up the house and getting food into his tummy and taking care of rudy :0) I love that man what a wonderful guy he truly is so yeah I’m still very happy and February 11th we will be together for a year :0)

Well I gotta get going i’m going to pick up my uncle and go for a coffee and walk with him and rudy today even in this dang fog geesh it would be nice to have some wind blow threw here to blow it all away just so we can see some sun…

Happy New Year…

Well here is to the new year and what have i been up too lately not too much….

It had been snowing since practically yesterday so we over the few weeks since before christmas had gotten over 2 and half feet of fricken snow hehehe hence rudy above loving running and jumping having a ball in the snow…

we had a quiet christmas with my mom uncle joe and alex rudy and I, I made dinner for christmas eve and chrismas and you know it is a whole lotta work phew it’s no wonder our moms were so dang tired by the time the whole thing has been cooked that is for sure….

new years resolutions i don’t make them why cause i’m at peace this way and i know i won’t break any so heck with that tradtion eh

now it is raining outside and i’m guessing that will create a whole load of flooding in this little town.

i’m happy i’m loving my life still and how could i not with a wonderful guy and a cute adorable little doggy named rudy hehehe he is going to turn one on the 28th of this month

phew i can’t believe it is already the 6th of january time is going by quickly …

anyhow i gots to get going I need to get up to walmart and look at some mixers for making cakes and stuff . and i also need a bread pan so i can make some hot fresh bread mmmm nothing like a nice thick piece with butter and peanut butter mmmm mmmm hehehe any how i will catch ya in the wind later…

Hmmm so it is our canadian thanksgiving….

Well it’s that time of year again when everyone is raiding the local grocery store in hopes of finding the perfect brussel sprout hehehe

We are headed to Victoria tomorrow to meet his  youngest sister Tacy not sure if that is the correct spelling of  her name no  it is not stacy but tacy in pronouncing it, oh well eh..

So tomorrow i will of met all of Alex’s brother and sisters it should be o.k but yep I still get those nervous feelings and of course the questions i get too, I really don’t wanna say what I do or don’t do and really I don’t think it anyones business but I will answer in a lady like fashion lol

She is on a soccer league and plays in Victoria this weekend her gold medal game is on Monday and I’m not sure if we are gonna stay or not Alex doesn’t feel to good now and might have my dang cold I had, I just hope he doesn’t get the bronchitis I had gotten….

He is working today too and is dog tired as the expression goes I love him much and I give him credit for going to work and not feeling too good, I think if he had his way he’d just stay home this weekend but i think it would be good to see his youngest sister and his brother, we haven’t seen his brother and sister in law since March, So it’s been a while since…

I didn’t go to bowling on Wednesday I was too sick and all the hacking and coughing you do when you get the dam bronchitis and so very tired geesh. It wasn’t meant for me to rest this week always on the go to do something, I tell ya I was thankful That my friend called and said lets can all the salmon on a rainy day which is about Wedsnesday this week. Phew wipes brow I went to bed after the phone call and didn’t wake up til Alex got home from work so I slept a good 4 hours…

boy looking around I better get to cleaning up our house it’s looking a tad messy but heck I still don’t feel 100 percent I will get to it soon though, geesh house work is never done…

Well Mom is all moved in to her apartment and loves loves loves her new home, she can see the ocean from where she lives up 18 floors up hehehe too high for me and I didn’t venture out on the balcony and she can also see the mountains a gorgeous view, I guess next time i visit i better bring my camera and get a few pictures of her wonderful view eh…

Well i’m off and running gotta get myself some lunch, have a good weekend and catch ya laters….

What do you do…

When you have a craving for a certain chocolate bar…

you have to can 20 spring salmon and hope you have enough jars to do so…

When you are sick and have to still can salmon and you just wanna sleep…

When you give your doggy a bath and he’s buzzing around the house at 100 kms. an  hour hehehe

When you have to go out and you don’t feel like it…

When you have an addiction to chicken noodle soup hehehe

ahhh heck it’s  the cold medicine i think that the doctor gave me to ask shuch ooops such is what i meant silly questions that is my excuse and i’ma stickin to it hehehehe

A year later…..

Well I have been here in Port Alberni for a year now…

And boy much has happened loads of pain some sorrow along with happiness thank heavens for that.

I miss my mom not being here with me and I know she misses me but she is much happier now that she lives back in Vancouver.

I have so much love now in my life I have so much to be grateful for and am.

I have read a few of my friends journals and they have all been saying how not too many of us are writing now, it’s true and I too am in that league so to speak eh hehehe but heck i guess we all have busy lives at present.

I am enjoying bowling and now have an average of 103 lol and don’t want it to climb too quickly as i will have to keep it up and it can get hard after awhile so i will try to keep my little avg. as long as possible lol. At least i’m hitting the pins eh hehehe mostly one or two of them but at least i’m hitting them and not dusting the gutters hehehehe, as i’m pro at that eh hehehehe

Well on thursday we are off to Vancouver to help mom move into her new apartment she found on the beach so she can see english bay and the north shore mountains as her apartment is on the 18th floor. We will be back on sunday and of course i have to stop and meet up with some of my friends over there. So it looks to be a busy weekend.

Christmas is coming up too eh and yeah i know to be thinking about it boy oh boy eh, we are gonna drive now to see Alex’s family in Calgary it is usually a 12 hour drive on good condtions but alas it will be snowing then and well Alex said it will probably be 16 hours but will take our time, we are Taking Rudy with us so that is why we are driving.

You see we can’t take him on the plane as there will be no room in cargo for him and the other way is he will have to fit under the seat and weigh 23 pounds well heck he weighs that now hehehe and is still growing my little gaffer. He is now 8 months old lol and my little guy so driving for us is best…

Oh i hate colds, right now I am coughing and sneezing and sore throat and shoot I have no time to be fricken sick geesh man…

Oh well what can ya do when ya live in a dang shoe eh…

Well not much lol

bowling is going good, I am having fun and have an avg. of 99 lol not quite a 100 but soon enough i’m guessing lol.

I am thankful it has been quiet in my hood lol
no hillbilly fighten going on lol my family has decided to call me moniquemae and no laughing hehehe

Oh did I tell ya I got in trouble with the law hehehe yep I did and they were gonna throw my ass in jail for mischief for what you ask …

Well try this on for size

o.k I went grocery shopping right and the place I went too is on a hill so you have to be careful with your grocery carts eh as they might take off on you and hit a car…

hence what happened to me

I tried running after it but to no avail the cart hit an ole mans car and bam a huge dent like I mean dinner plate size dent and well we don’t carry house insurance so I will have to fork over 998.00 dollars for the damage done.

the cops came to my house and said to me that they can charge me with mishchief and take me downtown can you believe this…

yeah so yeah i’m a gangster eh what can I say….

So needless to say I will never go back to that grocery store again…

oh yeah the cop said people were talking to me and i said oh really and who would those be as I don’t recall anyone talking to me …

he said you must not of heard them i’m like thinking in my head yeah right….
I must of had a thick wax build up eh…

Boy I just relized I have almost lived here a year it will be sept 30 we moved here. Wow time flies and all I’ve done in this year and what i’ve learnt in this year too is amazing to me…

I realized how simple people are in this town and it won’t get any better til the dang hillbillies leave and head towards alberta hehehehe which will happen in time as the mills start to close down.

many of us out of towners will be moving here and actually are now as I speak. So once again this little town will have to get used to us city slickers eh…

Well first day of fall to eh…
I’m glad as the hot weather disappears I am hoping the sun will shine and make things good. I love fall and all it’s splender and beauty with all the wonderful colors the earth has to offer…
